Nike Air Yeezy 2

Inarguably one of the most famous, coveted and important sneakers ever conceived, the Air Yeezy 2 was Kanye West’s second signature model with Nike. Officially released in three colorways––“Pure Platinum,” “Solar Red” and “Red October”––the Air Yeezy 2 was co-created by Kanye West and Nike designer Nathan Van Hook, who borrowed tooling elements from the Air Tech Challenge 2. An evolution of the Air Yeezy 1, the 2 featured an esoteric hieroglyphic symbol on the tongue, while its most recognizable feature is its reptilian, spiny heel. West also wore several sample versions of the shoe, which were never treated with a proper release.
