Anfernee ‘Penny’ Hardaway is the NBA legend behind the Air Penny 2. After his first and most iconic signature landed in 1995, the Air Penny 2 landed just a year later while he was playing alongside Shaq at the Orlando Magic. Designed by Eric Avar, who later went on to work on Kobe Bryant’s signature line, the Penny 2 featured the best technologies of the time, including a heel bubble taken from the Air Max line. The shoe is also known for its unique, rippled upper. In recent times, respected names like Social Status and Stüssy have reworked the Penny 2. Recent colorways include 'Atlantic Blue,' 'Baroque Brown,' and 'Panda.'
