Nike Waffle Racer

One of Nike’s first designs, the Nike Waffle Racer was conceived by the brand’s co-founder Bill Bowerman and synonymous with the famous “Eureka” moment that Bowerman experienced one morning at breakfast. Using a waffle iron to create the outsole tread, Bowerman first called the 1972 design “Moon Shoes,” which was part of a series of iterative designs that were hand-cobbled by Bowerman and tested at the University of Oregon track. Off-White’s take on the Waffle Racer dropped in 2019 with colorways such as “Fuchsia” and “Vivid Sky.
