Nike Huarache 2K5

In 2005, Nike unveiled the Huarache 2k5, a performance basketball style created by Eric Avar, as an adaptation of Tinker Hatfield’s 1991 Nike Air Huarache. Unmistakably inspired by the original Huarache runner, the 2k5 comes with court technology and cushioning like Zoom Air Units and a full-length carbon fiber spring plate. The shoe was popularized by Kobe Bryant, who favored the 2k5 during his second and third NBA seasons. Key colorways include collaborations with Undefeated, as well as player exclusives worn by Bryant himself.
