Nike Air Bakin

Officially released in 1997, the Nike Air Bakin is synonymous with Tim Hardaway, who wore the shoe in its black, red and yellow colorway to match the uniform of his team, Miami Heat. The shoe’s on-court legacy is largely overshadowed by a controversy surrounding the flaming font reading “Air” on the shoe’s heel, which many likened to “Allah” written in Arabic. Nike chose to pull the shoe and change the design. In 2023, Supreme collaborated with Nike to create two exclusive colorways of the Air Bakin.
