Nike KD 5

Departing from the low-top designs that came before it, Kevin Durant’s fifth signature shoe arrived as the high-top KD 5 in 2012. Thematically, the design is heavily influenced by number five, which makes subtle appearances on the outsole pattern as well as the tongue quilting. The shoe’s upper is constructed using Hyperfuse, in addition to a hybrid sole using Zoom in the forefoot and Air in the heel. To launch the silhouette, the KD 5 was presented in a colorway that channeled the flag of Maryland, Durant’s home state. The shoe’s most memorable colorways include the 'Black Racer Blue' version as well as the 'Superhero' and 'Easter' editions.
