Nike Air Yeezy

The Air Yeezy 1 was Kanye West’s first official release with Nike, marking a new creative collaboration between the rapper, Nike CEO Mark Parker and designer Nathan Van Hook. Coincidentally arriving the same year as West’s footwear collaboration with Louis Vuitton, the Air Yeezy 1 was made in “Zen Grey,” “Black/Pink” (affectionately referred to as the “Blink” colorway) and “Net” colorways. Despite boasting references to the Air Tech Challenge II, Jordan II and Jordan IV, the expressive high-top silhouette is truly unique for the silhouette of its collar and details such as the Yeezy lace lock and the “Y” pattern.
