One of the lesser known members of the 99x series, the New Balance 999 was made available in two versions, made in the USA and made overseas, when it was first released in 1996. This performance running shoe boasted lifestyle favorite features, including a cushioned ABZORB sole unit and a classic mix of suede and mesh up top. The silhouette is often associated with Conceptsā New Balance 999 collaboration from 2011, which came in a nautical color scheme inspired by Cape Cod and President John F. Kennedy.
